In the company’s last app release, it added these 13 keywords that will enable a specific search to take place when paired with a specific city.

Available for iOS and Android, HotelTonight provides you with a place to stay when you haven’t booked anything in advance. So while you know what city you’re going to be in, there might be specific amenities, style, or price range you’re looking for. That’s where these words come into play, some of which are:

The process seems a bit excessive, but may be useful because what if there are other cities of the same name, such as “San Francisco, CA” and “San Francisco del Rincon, Mexico” or if you’re looking for county of the same name? It’s not necessarily a perfect system though, but it’s only the first iteration, so hopefully the workflow will improve.
